Window grants in the North East: what to check.
Searching for a window grant does not mean there is funding for a standalone replacement-window order. Energy-efficiency schemes have eligibility rules, limited funding and approved measures. Start with official information and the council responsible for your postcode before committing to work.

Start with the official eligibility check
The Warm Homes: Local Grant is an England energy-efficiency programme delivered through local authorities. Eligibility depends on household and property criteria, including the home's energy performance. The official GOV.UK service explains the current rules and how to apply. Do not rely on an advert or an installer conversation as a decision that you qualify.
A home assessment determines the measures
Where a household qualifies and funding is available, the council arranges an assessment and agrees the improvements. This is not an unrestricted voucher for any windows or supplier you choose. Ask the council whether glazing is an eligible measure for your particular home and which delivery arrangements apply; do not assume window replacement will be funded.
Speak to the right council before ordering
Use your postcode to identify the relevant local authority and its current energy-efficiency offer. Ask about applications, eligible measures, landlord permissions where relevant and whether work must use an appointed delivery partner. Programmes and local availability can change. Do not place an order expecting a later reimbursement without written confirmation from the scheme.
Keep funding advice separate from our quotation
We are not claiming to be an appointed grant-delivery contractor or offering guaranteed funded windows. You can request a private quotation separately, but a quote does not establish grant eligibility. Be cautious of pressure to sign immediately or pay someone merely to secure a supposedly guaranteed grant. Check claims against the official scheme information.
Before you decide.
Is there a guaranteed grant for new windows in the North East?
No guarantee is made here. Eligibility, council funding and the approved improvements depend on the scheme and the household's assessment. Check the official route for your postcode.
Can I choose any installer and claim the money back?
Do not assume that. The council's delivery and approval arrangements must be confirmed before an order is placed or any work begins.
Does a quote from Tyne & Wear confirm I qualify for funding?
No. Our private quotation and a council's funding decision are separate. We do not claim to assess grant eligibility or act as an appointed scheme contractor.
